Don’t give me your requirements share with me your experiences, your pain points, what would make your day, what you want to stop doing and start doing .
How you want to make things happen. What you want to change. What difference you want to make.
Some might call this requirements gathering and if that is the case then that’s fab ..
Too often requirements tend to be based on improving what you do today.. improving the processes you do today .. fixing todays processes and making sure the new world let’s you do what you do today .. often recreating what you do today on a shinny new thing.
We have to jump into the future .. look to how tech can enable new ways of working and avoid just using tech to reinvent the past .. the tech is progressing faster than we may realise .. start from a different point .. start from imagine a new world what would it look like what would you stop doing.
This “future out” approach is requirements gathering but it’s also more than that it’s being creative, it’s being innovative and it’s thinking differently .. make sure you work with the right mindset when you are gathering requirements.
Think and be different .. unlock the future don’t reinvent the past on new tech!
