Do you remember the slow roll out of the PC and the laptop computer into the corporate world, if we could have BYOD back then I’m sure we would have done (size and need for cabling would have been a problem) – now BYOAI is happening.

And then this was quickly followed by the explosion of the spreadsheet – and how many companies have core systems and processes running on spreadsheets today but how many more people have been enabled and able to get their job done better with the arrival of the spreadsheet.

What percentage of the roles in your organisation are aggregating knowledge and data, creating insight from data, sitting in meeting rooms taking minutes, chasing actions and making decisions, sending out badly written emails that embedded within it is a call to action .. and how long have people been complaining about not being able to find the knowledge, or “remember that deck I can’t find it”…. Plus spending hours on the web searching best practise and insight whitepapers and extracting the key info for management!

As with the PC and the spreadsheet which destroyed the typing pools, the paper filing cabinets and the blackboard .. the Ai era will remodel your digital office processes and how things get done.

Those people who are BYOAI to work are the ones that you should take out of their day job today – get them all into a room together – join them up across the teams they work for and came from, and get them creating the “ai operating platform” of the future (of tomorrow/next week/next month) and supplement them with a group of “early in careers” (god damn it the youngsters need the opportunities) process analysts and story tellers and make it happen
